La combinación de Gamificación y Game Based Learning es habitual en el desarrollo de serious games, sin embargo, es importante saber a qué se refieren ambos términos.

Mientras gamificación es el uso de elementos motivadores (por ejemplo marcadores) que incentiven la competición entre los usuarios; game based learning se refiere al area cognitiva del producto, a su apariencia y a su atractivo visual.

Es decir game-based learning es la técnica utilizada en formación en la cual utiliza el formato videojuego para presentar los contenidos teóricos a los usuarios.

Las características fundamentales que definen Game Based Learning son:

1. El aprendizaje debe llevarse a cabo por medio de escenarios atractivos para el usuario
2. Debe llevarse a cabo una evolución, mediante la superación de diferentes incógnitas.
4. Debe crear una experiencia de aprendizaje positiva

Mientras los formatos de formación presencial y e.-learning son limitados, bien por su exceso de contenido teórico o por su complicada implementación y costes. Los cursos Game based ofrecen una solución eficiente para la formación en habilidades directivas de manera didáctica, divertida y a un coste asequible.

Game based learning y simulación son habitualmente combinados en forma de serious games. La simulación hace posible el crear situaciones reales a través de las cuales los usuarios pueden poner en práctica sus habilidades.

Esto es especialmente interesante en la formación de habilidades directivas las cuales requieren de su puesta en práctica para ser dominadas e interiorizadas.

Tanto gamificación como game-based learning como serious games persiguen un mismo objetivo que es mejorar el compromiso de los alumnos. Conseguir que se “enganchen” y que practiquen y que gracias a la experiencia positiva creada mediante los juegos memoricen y rentengan mejor los contenidos.

El software actualizado está diseñado para empresas y consumidores que no están suscritos a Office 365. Office 2019 incluirá actualizaciones de Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio, Access y Publisher. Word incluirá un nuevo modo de enfoque, un traductor y otras mejoras. En cuanto a PowerPoint, los usuarios verán compatibilidad con modelos 3D y transiciones morph. Office 2019 ya está disponible para los clientes con licencia de volumen comercial hoy. Consumidores y otras empresas podrán comprar lo en las próximas semanas.

Valve Index, las mejores gafas de realidad virtual de PC

Valve, creadores de la popular tienda online Steam, acaba de presentar sus nuevas gafas de realidad virtual para PC, Valve Index.

Se trata de unas gafas premium, de alta fidelidad, con dos paneles de 1600x1440 píxeles en cada ojo, tasa de refresco de 120 Hz, sin efecto screen door, 0,33 ms de baja persistencia, IPD por hardware, dos mandos que detectan el movimiento de cada dedo (no solo de la mano) y otras mejoras que las convierten en las mejores gafas de realidad virtual de PC, superando a las HTC Vive Pro.

Necesitan estaciones base en la pared para hacer el tracking.

Y no serán baratas. Saldrán a la venta el 28 de junio a un precio de 1.079 euros, aunque se pueden comprar sin mandos y sin estaciones base.

Panama Canal contractors seek $400 mn advance

Panama City, Jan 7 (EFE).- The Spanish-led consortium working on the $5.25 billion expansion of the Panama Canal on Tuesday proposed to the waterway administration that it provide it with an advance of $400 million to avoid a suspension of work this month.

Spanish construction giant Sacyr Vallehermoso and its partners in the GUPC consortium - Italy's Impregilo, Belgium-based Jan de Nul and Panamanian firm CUSA - also offered to put up $100 million of their money as a "definitive solution" to the conflict threatening to halt work on the project starting on Jan. 20.

Quadrotor Autonomous Flight and Obstacle Avoidance with Kine

This work is part of the STARMAC Project in the Hybrid Systems Lab at UC Berkeley (EECS department). http://hybrid.eecs.berkeley.edu/
Our lab's Ascending Technologies [1] Pelican quadrotor, flying autonomously and avoiding obstacles.
The attached Microsoft Kinect [2] delivers a point cloud to the onboard computer via the ROS [3] kinect driver, which uses the OpenKinect/Freenect [4] project's driver for hardware access. A sample consensus algorithm [5] fits a planar model to the points on the floor, and this planar model is fed into the controller as the sensed altitude. All processing is done on the on-board 1.6 GHz Intel Atom based computer, running Linux (Ubuntu 10.04).

Fue publicada en Nicovideo el 23 de febrero de 2008, y actuálmente supera las 2 millones de visitas en Nicovideo, siendo una de las canciones más conocidas de Halyosy y de Hatsune Miku.

La canción narra la graduación de una estudiante, y de cómo se siente al respecto al tener que marcharse del instituto y seguir adelante. Se ha convertido en una de las canciones más famosas en Japón respecto a la temática de las graduaciones.

Ha aparecido en los juegos Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-, Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- Arcade, Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- Arcade Future Tone y Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- F 2nd. Un single de la canción puede comprarse en Amazon junto con varios instrumentales y versiones diferentes de la canción.

Se ha creado una serie de novelas basadas en la canción, las cuales son dirigidas por Halyosy, escritas por Amemiya Hitomi, editadas por Fujita Ryou e ilustradas mayoritariamente por Yuu e iXima, además de varios ilustradores famosos. Suecia disminuirá impuestos a quienes reparen

Hoy en día la base de la economía está en producir, utilizar y tirar.
Sistema que está destruyendo el planeta. En Estados Unidos, por ejemplo, se tiran unos:
Es por ello que el gobierno Sueco invertirá cerca de 50 millones de euros en un proyecto para reducir impuestos e IVA.
Desde ahora, los ciudadanos que reparen sus bienes en lugar de comprar nuevos, serán recompensados con impuestos más bajos.
Y por otra parte, el IVA sobre los precios de reparaciones Per Bolund, Ministro de Hacienda, Suecia.
Además, el proyecto contempla nuevos impuestos sobre los productos que contienen materiales que no pueden ser reciclados o que son difíciles de reparar.
Medidas concretas, que si muchos países más sumaran, podrían salvar el planeta.
